[SARN Memo for April 15, 2009]
Times are hard. Most states are short of money. That means our services may get cut.
We have to speak up loudly. Do you have a rally planned at the state capitol? If so, why not go prepared to lead a few chants? That’s what leadership is about: stepping forward to take action! Here is a list of rally chants you can use.
At your next meeting, choose one or two of these chants and invite members to practice leading them (you’ll have to work through them a bit to get a feel for the rhythm). Then go to your next rally at the state capitol. Tell the planners you want to lead a couple of chants. Find out where you need to be and when you need to be there. Then go lead the chants. It’s a great way to get our message out. It’s also fun.
Step by Step Using this self-led workshop, your group can learn about a simple method to work together to make change happen.
